Don't know why I wrote 'white' trousers? meant to simply say 'baggy trousers'

Well, that comment certainly sent me on a nostalgia trip. Memories of going to the local Army And Navy Surplus Store in 1973 to buy white sailor bags. The ones with the button-up flap on the front! Happy Days :-)

That fashion arrived in Bristol a few months later and I moved on to checked Oxford Bags, with turn-ups, Brogues and Ben Sherman shirts :-)

Sorry everyone else, I'll make sure I stay on-topic for the next post!

all items seen worn in the Jean Genie TOTP magical mystery performance, was this taken in the greenroom at the BBC I wonder?

Its Russell Harty, its the gear he wore for the soundcheck before he "Remerged looking even more glamourous"

Great spot pw01, I wondered about the RH show - but for the jacket - but the Sound check explains it, nice photo as well, thanks.

Ta man, thought I had another one actually but can't find it, presume it was something else. Didn't Charles Sharr Murray do a piece with Bowie at the Southbank Harty recording. Can't find it (it was online), but its a great Bowie media report circa 73. Anyway, getting off topic. TOTP2! Hurrah!
Who's the audience member looking like Tasty Tim in drag with Daniella?

I think there's a young Anne Nightingale amongst the throng. It should be interesting spotting the Bowie Tour crew amongst the crowd after we've watched it a few times

The late Will Palin can be seen in one of the screen grabs.

News to me also, Wills website is still on the go, I've emailed Robin asking if this is so, I'd email Will but that wouldn't be right if it is the case.
Will post findings

An absolute shock, I had the honour of working with Will a few years back, what a gentleman, nothing was too much trouble.
The JG footage will be a tribute to him.
