Not forgetting the rumoured plans for a new Bowie documentary next year. Word Magazinebut a friend of mine at the BBC has just had a commission accepted for a 'Legends' programme on BBC 4 about Bowie. His full co-operation-plus interview- is apparently confirmed. Out sometime next year if it all goes to plan.

Oh no, I don't want a five second clip on Jools or a documentary. I want to see the performance shown in full on the BBC.

If it is being broadcast, it's also a last minute change to the schedule. This is what it says in my TV guide.
Top of the Pops 2 BBC 2 Wednesday 21st December 2011 19:30 to 21:00.
Christmas Special.
Mark Radcliffe digs deep into the Top of the Pops archives to deliver 90 minutes of some familiar and unfamiliar festive footage treats of yore and unseen Christmas delights from the BBC library. There are classic Christmas hits from the likes of Roy Wood's Wizzard and 70s glam heroes Slade to the smooth 80s vibe of Wham!'s Last Christmas. Three Beatles are also represented with Paul's catchy Wonderful Christmas Time from 1979, some rare footage of Ringo romping in the snow performing his 1971 solo hit It Don't Come Easy and John and Yoko's abiding anti-war protest song Happy Xmas (War Is Over). Plus Coldplay, Pet Shop Boys, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, The Pretenders, Curtis Mayfield, Kurtis Blow, Abba, Justin Bieber and Mariah Carey, and a fitting tribute to the late Amy Winehouse.

In the Sunday Mirror 12 days of Christmas guide today: Mark Radcliffe is hosting the Top of the Pops 2, BBC, Wednesday 21st December 2011 - 19:30 to 21:00. Christmas Special, Marc delves into the BBC archive to find old and recent Christmas music, including performances by David Bowie, Ringo, Slade, Adele, Shakin' Stevens and The Pogues with Kirsty McColl. No, surely not (if it was Little Drummer Boy - why no mention of Bing?) Anyone any preferences as to what hat I should eat
