This is a brand 3CD new release from Growmusic, GRC24.

Cd 1 and 2 feature the London, Wembley 03-05-76 gig, Cd 3 features the 07-05-76 gig.

Soundquality is okay, the 03-05 gig is a bit hissy, and the 07-05 gig sounds a little bit better than the Wembley Wizard Touches The Dial cd boot.

The packaging is fantastic. It comes in a full colour gatefold sleeve. Discs 1 and 2 comes in printed inner sleeves with black and white pics with red lettering. The inner sleeve of disc 3 has the covers for the vinyl releases of Don't Touch That Dial and Wembley Wizard Touches The Dial on the front and the back. The discs themselves look like vinyl albums.

are those photos of a shirtless DB from Wembley (I thought all such shots were from the Paris finale)?

According to Philippe Auliac's book Passenger the shirtless pics are indeed from Paris.

I can't agree, then, about the packaging being fantastic. But then I seem to be in the minority on the question of not using pictures for artwork that obviously are not from the date(s) in question.

At this point, haven't we all heard tons of live audios and seen a zillion pics?

Why not go with historical accuracy over "quality" imagery?

The Don't Touch The Dial sequence of boots have always fascinated me. I think the artwork for the Don't Touch The Dial boot LP was brilliant. One of my favourite bootleg LPs.

The fact that the original "The Wembley Wizard Touches The Dial" boot was pressed by the British Phonogram Industry as part of a sting makes the history of the bootleg even more interesting.

As far as incorrect photographs on boots go I am always amused by the fact that photographs taken by myself and another fan at Bowie's Sydney shows on the 24th and 25th November, 1978 grace a bootleg CD of the Vienna, Stadthalle 22.05.78 show.

The photographs were simply borrowed from my web site. :P They were used on a set of home made boot CDs.

Love the cover art!
I wish the images were from Wembley but it still looks really cool nonetheless.
I wonder where I could buy this? Can't seem to find it on eBay. :x

Sound is reasonable, this is what I said at the time:

Soundquality is okay, the 03-05 gig is a bit hissy, and the 07-05 gig sounds a little bit better than the Wembley Wizard Touches The Dial cd boot.

I got a copy of wembley wizard at the time from a shop in Liverpool called magical mystery store. Cost me £7.50. Was in the shop the following day and they told me they got raided by the police abou an hour later and had the copies they had seized, so bit of a lucky escape.
A few weeks later I saw an article in either Nme or sounds about this bootleg entitled "buying this record can seriously damage your legal standing" or something, saying that I think 1750 of the 2000 had been retrieved.

Never ever validated whether that was correct or not. Anyone know?

Anyway, still got the album, despite selling all my vinyl (except Bowie collection) a few years back.

Got no intention of selling, but I would love to know how much it's worth. Anyone know?
