So I know that requests aren't normally done here, but it'd be much appreciated if someone could share this track with me (in high quality audio*) - I've tried other places but didn't have any luck

I'm talking about this performance, which is a little different than the one from SNL ->
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_o1Yu-Vxk1U

I used to have a copy of that bootleg dvd "Rare Precious and Beautiful" (or the title was something like that) - but it's in storage back in the US - so I can't just record the audio off of the dvd myself... and strangely - I can't seem to find a listing of ANY bootleg cd with that performance on it (So I can't even request a torrent of it anywhere)

* I do have a 256kbps mp3 of it - but it was ripped from a youtube video, so it's not only an mp3, but it's an mp3 of a streaming file (which already would have lowered the quality of the audio)

...and as a side note - WHY has this performance never been released on bootlegs, or even really commonly known? Or am I the only one who likes that version?

and come to think of it - as the video isn't a live performance, there's a pristine copy of it probably sitting somewhere collecting dust (while that cheesy as hell re-recording of Panic In Detroit was released officially)

i don't think there's a high quality audio of it in circulation. it would have been a mono broadcast and ripping the Rare, Precious and Beautiful DVD audio reveals a hard cut off at 13kHz (redbook CD cut off is 22kHz). the same is true for the Watch That Man Vol. 10 DVD. think we'll have to wait for an official DVD set for decent audio.

ah - I see...

To me, it's just crazy how much this track (or rather this performance) gets overlooked

I mean, it's pretty unique (with the added keyboard and the different vocals) and to me... it just has this greater sense of 'urgency' about it - or rather... like - it has a lot more of a 'snot nosed kid' attitude about it

know what I mean?

I always did think this version was very good, too, a shame we can't get these songs on DVD officially.

Though, now I think about it, wasn't there supposed to be, back in the day, a Kenny Everett video from his ITV show, that featured on or both the Bowie performances?
