Just been listening to the 2nd version of the Sound+Vision box set and noticed the fade out on Big Brother has been messed up a bit. I really liked the fade on the original version of Sound+Vision which is pretty much a standard fade on a repeated chorus. I assumed the tracks on the 2nd version of the box were just remastered but identical to the originals (where present), however I don't like the longer fade out on Big Brother which passes the repeated chorus and includes the last line of the song (although very quietly).

If you hadn't heard Big Brother on Diamond Dogs first, then the original S+V sets faded version would sound like a complete song that hasn't been tampered with. The 2nd box set's version makes it obvious that the end of the song has been tampered with and it shouldn't have been faded at that point.

I know fades can occur at slightly different times each time a song is remastered, however this difference changes the feel of the song's ending completely.
