No firm details yet, but it looks like we can expect vinyl and single CD editions of the David Bowie album on August 2nd and/or 10th.

Amazon Germany

Amazon UK

Amazon UK

Thanks for the pointer!

What is interesting is that the vinyl version is a double album, with (presumably) the stereo version on disc 1 and the mono version on disc 2.

The single cd version seems to be different from just disc 1 of the deluxe edition, as the mono version of the album isn't in the tracklisting (the tracklisting can be wrong in that aspect of course)

Eil now has a little more info on this, including a cover image. Price seems to be quite reasonable as well, and I like that the cover is a replica of the original US Stereo edition.
Eil has the release date as August 2nd by the way.

Actually it will have the mono version as well - this is the blurb from Eil:
Quote:
DAVID BOWIE David Bowie (2010 issue UK Deluxe Edition 28-track 2-LP vinyl set - Originally released in 1967, this expanded edition of David Bowie's debut album for Decca, comprises the original stereo & mono mixes of the album stunningly remastered by Peter Mew and Tris Penna at Abbey Road Studios).

The Amazon listing describes it as box set, but we should probably take that with a pinch of salt until they update the page with the latest information.

The price settings suggests 2 different releases!
Eil's vinyl is £18.99 and Amazon's £34.99. Isn't it usually the other way around? :?
