I was looking at various artists or other artists dvd's that feature Bowie material not on Bowie-only releases, and started wondering about this performance.

Does anyone know if the full Bowie + Tina Turner duet was ever released on DVD (including the Let's Dance medley I mean)?

The Tonight duet was released on at least this and this dvd, but no Let's Dance.

Then there's this DVD, which contains 'clips of archive performances with Cher, Rod Stewart, David Bowie and Mick Jagger.'. Is that just Tonight, the full thing incl Let's Dance or maybe even just a small part of Tonight?

The full concert which was at the NEC in Birmingham was released on VHS.
i was at the concert and had no idea he was guesting.Cheesy but a great suprise or as Tina said when he walked off , "good surprise huh?",
Also, Brian Adams did a duet "I'ts only love with the diva (Tina, not Bowie)".

We were advised at the start not to leave early as there were some surprises in store.

Cool you were there - that's a great surprise indeed! Bowie has only done a handful of surprise appearances - with Placebo, Arcade Fire and David Gilmour, and there are rumors of an appearance with the Linus Band in '76, but that's it I think?

I knew about the VHS, but was wondering if it was ever released on DVD?

She was HOT then, and Mr Bowie must have thought so too if the stories are true as to how she got him to appear that night.

Just out of interest the concert had this "new type of floating camera" system installed to proffesionally film the show, its a pity the security wasn't too clever as a big girl managed to get on stage and nearly pull him over which you can see on the footage.

There was a VHS/CD issue of it in the 1990s, but that's the last time I recall seeing it in the shops.

That last DVD you linked to has this info in one of the customer reviews...

This concert was filmed in London in November 1999 to celebrate six decades of Tina Turner on planet earth ... The dvd also includes birthday dedications from such artists as : Bob Geldof, Al Green, Dolly Parton, Annie Lennox, Cher, David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Phil Spector, PP Arnold, Bono, Mariah Carey, Ricky Martin and Sting + interview with the lady herself.

No duet. Your luck's out there.

Expect an email from Maarten asking if you also have a DVD recorder :-)

Indeed! :)

I actually also have a few laser discs, especially in those few cases where the material is otherwise only available on VHS (Oy Vey Baby, some versions of clips on the Video Collection), so I might just go for this Tina Turner laserdisc as well. I have no laserdisc player or capture card, so if anyone can digitize the laserdisc for me that would be great :)

The Dutch DVD "40 jaar top 40" covering the years 1989/1990 contains the Tonight duet as well.
But not the other songs :(
Would love to see a quality release of the whole thing one day
