This is a really nerdy one and might perhaps be an IDBD correction.
I was wondering what the consensus was on the correct titles of the Scary Monsters bookends, It's No Game 1 and 2.
The covers, which i assume Bowie signed off on, list the songs as No. 1 and No. 2. The labels however list them as Part 1 and Part 2.
Personally I would go with the former as they are not two parts of the same song but two distinct songs. Well, it's not some sort of reprise anyway if you get my drift.
Nicholas Pegg agrees with me and goes with the sleeve: No.1 and the IDBD does not agree with me and goes with the labels: Part 1.
So which is it do we think?
Apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere, I did a search which showed nothing.

it's not that simple unfortunately because both configurations are used on the LP cover depending on country. e.g. the UK sleeve has No.1 and No.2, the US sleeve has Part 1 and Part 2.

I've always called them No. 1 and No. 2 as Parts 1 and 2 doesn't make any sense as the the second one is basically the same song. Scary monsters was the first Bowie album I bought back in 1980 and I wasn't impressed that my Australian cassette and LP both had Part 1 and 2 listed. One of my next purchases was the Japanese single which continued the error.

as i said, it appears as part 1 and part 2 on the sleeve of the US release (including the lyric sheet) and in several other countries, and on all (?) labels, so it's more than likely the intended title even if a little misleading. part/no.2 does includes two verses not in part/no.1 so could be considered a continuation...
