If it is just a skipping problem, we may just have to put a small coin on top of the stylus like we used to in "the olden days" to stop that from happening. The skipping often occurred during the loud sections of a recording.

It didn't have an adjustable weight on the stylus, so the solution was to tape a one cent coin on it. It was common here in Sydney and the that was the solution the record stores gave to solve skipping record problems and it worked. That's all i'll say on the matter as we've gone off topic.

i'd say it's on topic if you're suggesting it as a solution for those with problem vinyl. i'm aware of the method, but it's also the reason so many old records are unplayable due to groove wear (alongside other reasons of course). you're also risking damage to the stylus. tracking weight should be adjusted in tiny increments, not by the weight of a coin.

A US CD-R sample disc containing three of the DVD bonus tracks mastered at significantly lower volume levels. NOT brick-walled. Sorry, I can’t scan the CD-R, it’s too shiny. Attachment:

And it's also the 'annversary' edition... shows you how much care EMI puts into their work. But interesting to see those bonustracks before compression!

But interesting to see those bonustracks before compression! i missed the other typo, but usually if i saw TWO typos on the front cover of an EMI promo alarm bells would be ringing. i wonder if ken scott was there for the final master or assumed these non-squashed versions are what would be going on sale? i made my own masters from the 5.1 tracks, but i'm going to try to track one of these promos down.

Message on Amazon UK site about the vinyl/dvd release. Wonder what the problem is?
This product is not currently offered by Amazon.co.uk because a customer recently told us that the item he or she received was not as described.
We are working to resolve this as quickly as possible. In the meantime, you may still find this product available from other sellers on this page.

I received mine from Amazon.uk and it was exactly as described, unless they were expecting the DVD to be a video DVD rather than audio only.

Amazon uk does not mention the 96/24 remaster if my memory is still good, so their description is not fully accurate. Maybe someone complained about the size of the box amazon used to post it. Just weighed my vinyl 193g !!
