It's a quick question that I'm afraid I don't know the answer to.

Is the bruh-bruh-bruh ad. inf. ending of Chant of the Ever Circling Skeletal family printed into the run out groove? Or is the CD ending, with the reverb'd fade out, how it ends on the record?

Thanks, all.

My digital copy of the RCA vinyl has the reverb fade out.

Nope it just fades, a loop is what you mean, it would have been a really good idea, but no.

Thanks a lot, y'all!

I think I prefer the fade out to the idea of a loop. It's bit creepier to have it implied that the Chant is endless and ever-circling, rather than having it be actually endless and ever-circling.

Weren't the original pressings on vinyl supposed to be never-ending?

I have a gatefold Japanese edition and that isn't.
The never endingness is implied, but not executed.

On page 64 of Bowie : an illustrated record by Roy Carr and Charles Shaar Murray, it says:

"In the final 'Chant Of The Ever Circling Skelital Family', Orwell's timid rebel finally get zombied out and the album ends - sickeningly and jarring - with a repeat echo of Bruh! Bruh! Bruh! And so on into infinity - or until the needle lifts off."

I'd say whatever copy they had in their collections, or maybe a review copy had the Bruh! Bruh! Bruh! section running out to the inner groove.

I take what they said with a pinch of salt personally.
