As requested by Alan, here are a few photos of a prized collectible. I bought it in Japan a couple of years ago.

Many thanks Mike, it really does look wonderful and I'm green with envy.

A once in a lifetime find and purchase!

I found this while looking for something else and thought others might like to see it.

Here's the link:

Curious indeed - though it is of course possible multiple #1's were created, as test pressings, gift copies or just to create some extra income...

Can anyone else see two faint lines after the #1 on the eBay certificate?

I was watching this in Japanese auction at that time.
This is very exciting item to me, but the price is too high for me.
I'm glad to know the owner of this is a member of IDBD forum.

To be totally honest, I'm really not sure if they're lines on the paper or something else. The marks slope in the same direction as the #1 though, and I wouldn't buy this box without investigating it further.

I see no reason why there would be more than one #1. I suspect a new crop of counterfeits ala Red Low, Coulor STS sleeve/slick and MWSTW Dress sleeve.

I also think this particular iitem would be easier to copy than the items i mentioned above.
A genuine set of Ryko CD'S, A Birchwood box and a forged certificate would not be rocket science in comparison to manufacturing a Red Vinyl or a textured sleeve.

I think you'll find it's a lot easier to reproduce an album than a quality, hand tooled box with a printed, transparent front panel and a certificate of authenticity printed on special paper.
