the current list of RSD releases for 2016 includes "David Bowie - I Dig Everything: The Pye Years 1966 [LP] (Exclusive 50th Anniversary Release, indie-retail exclusive)" which seems frankly ridiculous considering the repackaged 1966 was released just last year. same music, different title. label it a "50th anniversary edition" and exploit the death of david bowie. well done to everyone involved.

It doesn't surprise me.

My prediction for RSD is a set of repro Deram singles in a box including the rejected singles (maybe as an EP), and possibly a Liza Jane repro. We haven't had much from Universal for a while.

Well, I have the 10" and the 3xCDS version of "I Dig...". So if the RSD edition is not too expencive ( ), I might think of buying a third edition of it, if there is something special about it.
Last years "1966" was not that interesting, so I left it on the shelf.
But to be honest, I expect that the same will happen to "I Dig".

The issue of course will be which version of Do Anything You Say the new version contains. It may revert back to the original.

Reminds me of what I think was perhaps my first post on this forum... and in a way, my proudest post if that makes sense...

it's on the US list, quantity 7,500. TVC15 and TMWSTW listed as 5000 copies but for the world or for the US?

If I remember correctly the 1966 album wasn't released in the US last RSD. So probably it makes sence when this year it is a US only release?

except that it's being marketed as a 50th anniversary edition... when last year it was simply another reissue (49th anniversary not much of a selling point after all). i suppose we'll see soon enough. 7500 is not a small number for a record that has been in print numerous times and until recently considered fodder for budget labels.

No ‘I Dig Eveything’ on the UK RSD list and ‘TMWSTW’ and ‘TVC 15’ aren’t described as limited editions.
