Spotted this item on eBay.

It is a Laughing Gnome acetate and it looks rather interesting.

"DAVID BOWIE - The Laughing Gnome - Emidisc acetate 7 "

eBay Link: No longer available

The label is dated April 14th 1967.

I googled the name of the dude on the label and a couple of likely looking dudes turned up in the search results. ^_^

I have no expertise at all when it comes to acetates. I shall not be bidding.

Your views will be widely appreciated.

interesting to a completist and desirable enough, but as it has the official release date on it and the regular b-side, this is akin to a promotional single and thus highly unlikely to be in any way different to the stock recordings. as you probably know, there are acetates of The Laughing Gnome that contain alternate vocals, lyrics and mixes which hold more value to fans and collectors.

Thanks Shooky. I knew about the other acetates with the alternative mixes. Was wondering if this may be one of them out of sheer curiosity.

it's possible of course...but the evidence would suggest otherwise.
