I stumbled across this rather costly item on eBay while I was looking for copies of the 3 X 7" single box set issue of this release (just discovered my present copy has age spots inside the box).

It is the 3 X CD box set of the release. The seller gives a release date of 2001.

I noticed that the typography for the front cover of this particular 3CD set on eBay is different to all of the various issues and formats of this release on IdbD, Discogs and iTunes. I have added an image depicting the familiar typography in contrast to the unfamiliar typography.

I performed a reverse Google image search of the image itself and only found a Japanese site that happens to use the same artwork for this issue. It was simply a site that listed the overall release with a link to YouTube and the lyrics. It was not enlightening. See below.

I am curious about the different typography of this copy on eBay. I realise it may arouse the interest of members of the group who are keen on investigating and collecting variations such as this.

I sent a message to the seller asking for more photographs and details if possible.

I seek the wisdom of the forum members regarding this peculiar item.

I’m only guessing, but I suspect the alternative artwork was created by BMG for the Amazon US download/streaming service.

The eBay seller has also incorrectly listed his item with the US 1CD barcode 060768113022. The US imported the European 3CD box in 2001 and added a US barcode sticker 0602923650326.
