I guess there will be more boxes to come. And I also guess the songs from these boxes will be put onto one CD (box).
So maybe I will cancel my "Keyhole " pre order and wait for the CD release.

** edit - having been corrected below, the following incorrect rant is left here for historical reasons. **

Here's the full detail.

https://www.davidbowie.co ... os-box-due

This has to be one of the dumbest releases to date.
If ever there was a release that should be sequential and uninterrupted, it's the bedroom tape.
Good that a previously undocumented track is included, Let Me Sleep Beside You, but why miss the opportunity to include I'm Not Quite when other already released tracks are included.

I despair, it's such a shame how the catalogue is being handled with easy wins thrown away.

Agreed. It is a pity that "I'm Not Quite" is not included.

Yet, I must admit, I look forward to this item. As Motte suggests, I hope a CD release further along the track brings together all these items.

I agree and what about this crazy new fashion of 7' boxset???...they know that the silly limited 'picture disc' era is at its end, so let's try this 'new' collector format...?
But wouldn't be simpler to give us this on lp …(and I don't mean an expensive -3 sided boxset +etched side - that could fit a simple LP! ?)
(once again, look at Dylan bootleg series...)

This is not the 'Beckenham Oddity' bedroom tape, it's a different set of demo's. Space Oddity and An Occasional Dream were on the Space Oddity 40th Anniversary cd, the others are unissued.

Okay - I take it all back.
I'd forgotten that the 40th anniversary version of Space Oddity was not the bedroom tape...
Looking back on this forum, i also note that I was prosecuting an argument that An Occasional Dream might not be the bedroom version.

So - great news, a whole new set of demos.
Aren't Parlophone awesome.

Thanks for the clarification Maarten. As I mentioned, I actually find this interesting. Always happy to hear new material, yet hoping all of these demos are collated on a CD.

Not a mistake if we considere that all the records are acetats and not part of a LP . It's a bit "old school" but personaly I prefere that than nothing. My guess is that they will compile all the records in the futur on CD so all people would be Happy . :D
