This very interesting 12" is the only source for Looking For A Friend. Following Moonage Daydream/Hang On To Yourself, the second intended Arnold Corns single was Looking For A Friend/Man In The Middle. This single, however, never materialised and it was not until this 12" that Looking For A Friend was released.
The exact provenance of this title is unknown; both Denmark and Norway (or more generally: Scandinavia) are often mentioned. Petter Hafstad, who wrote the liner notes, is Norwegian, which indicates that the country of origin most likely is Norway.
