Top right corner of front cover retouched to black to obscure UK or US logo and cat no information. This applies to all Japanese issues, see others below. Note that the title graphics have been recreated, with 'David Bowie' in solid yellow and the stars in 'Ziggy Stardust' yellow rather than white. The first issue stars are white, as are those on the 1982 issue (see below). The typeface is slightly different, as seen in the 'S' (see scan below). The back cover is as UK, but is a single sheet glued onto the card sleeve. No "Maximum Volume" message. 1976 pressing date at bottom right.
NB: All RCA Bowie titles up to Station To Station were reissued in 1976 with matching florescent pink obis.

White label promo of the first issue (see above entry). Insert as per stock issue. At least two pressings exist with different matrix info/stampers. The machine stamped -122 Side One stamper was replaced with the -132 which was used for early stock copies and replaced again during 1972 with the hand etched 1-61 stamper which remained in use for the 1976 and 1982 issues.
