i'll refrain from clogging up the thread with waveforms etc, but having spent the past five hours comparing them side by side, track by track, i am of the opinion the best digital version of Hunky Dory remains the RCA CD from Germany.
i had high hopes for the Parlophone based on early reaction on the Hoffman board, but i think those praising it do not own the WG RCA. it will please many, not least because it hasn't been subjected to heavy limiting or compression. however, it has had some limiting applied, which is unnecessary given the excess of headroom (i.e. it has been mastered at a lower level than has been standard for decades). some inherent noises (pops etc) have been removed which most will not notice or will perhaps consider "positive revisionism".
of the 11 tracks, i found 3 to be all but indistinguishable once level matched. these are Eight Line Poem, Song For Bob Dylan and The Bewlay Brothers. in all other cases i prefer the RCA. this is not a "night and day" preference and will be taste dependent, so others will certainly give the vote to the Parlophone.

I remember hearing Hunky Dory for the first time on cd - the west german pressing. It was a revelation. 32 years later nothing has sounded that stand-out.

I've opened a new thread to discuss the audio compared to previous remasters, the RCA CDs and the original singles.
The vinyl appears to be numbered differently to the CDs and they’re all DBXL1 with a DB****** catalogue number. The CD albums are DBX1-1, DBX1-2 etc. Except for the 2003 Ziggy and Recall 1 which have the same DBX1-10 cat#.

a little over a week before release, the bonus for the Japanese edition has finally been listed at the warner japan site. not 100% clear from the google translation, but we appear to be getting a 16pg photobook entitled Bowie by Sukita 1972-1973, and a second booklet called Five Years 1969-1973 In Japan which contains original Japanese LP liner notes and photos of Bowie's first visit. it mentions "Japanese edition LP" too, but i expect that means pictures of the jackets within the booklet and not repros of the full sleeves... does this mean the box will be a little larger than elsewhere to accommodate the extras? hopefully there'll be pictures soon. the import is available for roughly £50 less here, so these additions may not be enough for some.

perhaps asianbowie can help confirm the details as the auto translation is far from clear...
e.g. "It is also encapsulated permanent panel contents lots of box."

The product itself is exactly identical to EU release. Record company states "Imported discs domestic edition" Japanese extras will be simply added to EU product, just like ZS motion picture 30th anniversary release.
2nd extra booklet contains Japanese original release liner notes(maybe it's a plain text) and photos of promo items such as printed autograph, posters, ticket etc.

Anyone know what happened to the "LP sized sleeve slick" that appeared on the Warner Japan, Five Years webpage a few weeks ago and has now disappeared?

That was stated to be a "planned extras". Now that changes into 2 booklets.
