In 2009 a 40 anniversary 2CD of David Bowie/Space Oddity album was released. With great artwork and a 2nd bonus disc full of great tracks. However, I seem to recall that in 2004? a 2CD promo of this album popped up on places like Ebay and eil.com. But that the release was dropped by the record Company, for reasons unknown. So the 100 dollar question is: Was the 2nd disc of the 2004 promo, identical to 2nd disc the 2009 release?
Is there anyone that knows about this release? Maybe even owning a copy? I am very curious about the tracklist.
I’m not aware of a 2CD promo or remaster before the 40th anniversary edition and I can’t find it in the eil discography.

I may be wrong here, but there was at least talk about a 2CD promo in 2004, either on this site or the swedish Bassman page. It's the only two Bowie sites I've used. All the others I've just seen and left fast. (They're nothing special to be honest). I've not dreamt this up, and I have a quite good memory.
