Here are some scans of the German special edition ★-box. The digi-pack in the box is the standard EU-digipack already mentioned in this thread, IdbD Post#25113.

It was sold exclusively at Saturn and Mediamark (stores and online) in Germany and Austria.

Wonder if I will buy repressing of LP?
It may not be printed same and will it have difference in vinyl pressing.
will see at end of month.

Official NO 1 Album in UK as expected with many older releases by Bowie in top 40.

The Taiwan issue is the European album with an added Obi, IdbD Ref#25113. Double wrapped! Perhaps not surprisingly, the album title on the Obi is “Blackstar”.

One question about the clear vinyl:

How many copys do exist?

I mean we talked about 5,000, but was it the Bowiestore edition, the B&N/fnac/jpc edition or in total?

On ebay you can't buy one for less than EUR 200,00!

The davidbowie.com announcement originally described the clear vinyl as a B&N exclusive, limited to 5000 copies, and it included a link the David Bowie Store for anyone to buy it. At the time, I assumed it was 5000 in total. So the question now is, did they delete the limitation number from the announcement because:

1. The limitation was actually a clear vinyl limitation and it shouldn’t have been linked to B&N.

2. It was 5000 plus the Bowie Store sales.

3. They pressed more when they realised it was selling well.

4. They forgot to include the European pressing.

5. A combination of 2, 3 and 4.

I was hoping we’d be able to use after market prices as a guide to the true number, but given what happened, that's not possible now.

All I can really add to to the facts is that 5000 copies doesn’t seem a lot for 650 B&N stores and online sales, Bowie Store online sales and retailer exclusives in Australia, France and Germany. 10,000 copies of the black vinyl were sold in the UK alone over the four days following release.

Impossible to scan accurately, but the overall impression is right and I haven’t suddenly gone colour blind.

Unlike other editions, it has a paper hype sticker.
