here's hoping they press 15000 or so of each so it's not a slog to get them. we already know they're going to sound awful.
DAVID BOWIE - TVC 15 LIMITED EDITION 40th ANNIVERSARY PICTURE DISC A-Side TVC 15 (Original Single edit) AA - Side Wild Is The Wind (2010 Harry Maslin mix single edit)
"This RSD 2016 release will be a double A side with the 2010 single edit of Wild Is The Wind making its vinyl debut here."
um, there is no single edit of Wild Is The Wind, so this is not only a vinyl debut. and why Maslin's hideous remix and not the official video edit? the lack of thought that goes into these singles is infuriating. a wiser man would know it's time to stop being mugged.

The MWSTW Picture Disc concept does not look as good as the Bootleg. No Outer Record sleeve and reproduced lyric sheet. Unless Savior Machine reprise is there it is also also as equally inauthentic so hunt down the boot rather than queuing outside your local record shop. (however might have other artists vinyl properly mastered and beautifully presented if you do want to support the local outlet).

based on the Groningen "Man Of Words..." then this will not be authentic but a standard repress of the current 2015 master. they're no better than the bootleggers when they do stuff like this IMO. and they're probably making a bigger profit from it.
Since we are completely off-topic now I will take the advantage to say 'Paint a vulgar picture' is the most ridiculous song considering Morrissey has what...25 compilation albums? And re-issues of all his solo albums with worse front covers

The quality of the picture discs has been going downhill with almost every release, the images never match up and the plastic sleeves all seem to have seam splits

Well, I like what TMWSTW looks like and will try to get one.
A pointless release? Yes of course, but look at the RSD list, it is full of pointless releases...

The TVC15 disc uses some nice images I hadn't seen before. Still, not going to get sucked into this nonsense...

The Man Who Sold the World is pressed with the same stampers that were used for the current 2015/6 edition. So, musically it is the same as the original album, not the slightly revised German one with the extra bit of music at the end of The Supermen.
Musician and recording credits differ from other releases, though are the same as in the Five Years box set book:
Added: "Remixed by Tony Visconti at Trident Studios"
and rather than Ken Scott alone as engineer, the engineering credit now reads:
"Engineered by Ken Scott, Gerald Chevin and Eddie Offord."
My copy has a droning sound in the background.

Unfortunately neither picture disc was available at Disk Union in Omiya today. I had to settle for the US 1966.

Ridiculously easy to get all of the DB RSD 2016 here this morning in BC, Canada. I picked up the TMWSTW pic/disc from two different stores, ($41.98 and $54.98 CDN).
