I'm sure everyone saw that Duncan Jones is starting a "Book of the Month club", encouraging people to read Bowie's top 100 books. The first book to read is Hawksmoor by Peter Ackroyd, so I figured "what the heck" and bought a copy on Amazon for $15. It hasn't arrived, so I went to look at my order and was shocked to see that versions are now selling for $73, $127, even $209! Jones' idea can't have led to price gouging on that level, can it? You can still find the book online for a reasonable price, if you look, but prices are ridiculously high, most places. Did his tweet create that much of a demand?

It will be interesting to see then, after Mr Jones Junior puts out next title if that too suddenly goes up in price too.
I have an idea, if he could also start running a list of his Dads favourite sandwiches. Then we can see if he announces, say, Tuna Mayo with Salad we could monitor whether lots of Cafes and Deli's start charging huge sums of money. There could be a run on the ingredients in supermarkets!
Tell that Library of yours to get a copy in for you (if their copy was already out then it will probably be on e-bay by now!). Hope you track down a cheap copy.
