April sees the release of two limited edition Bowie vinyl albums, Aladdin Sane and CHANGESTWOBOWIE.
This strictly limited one run only silver vinyl edition of Aladdin Sane will contain Ken Scott’s approved 2013 remaster and will be released on 20th April, 2018, 45 years to the day since the original release date for the album. Previously thought to have been issued on 13th April, 1973, new evidence has come to light that proves the release date was officially the 20th, but being Good Friday in the UK the album was 'made available' on the 19th.
This silver vinyl edition of Aladdin Sane will only be available to ‘bricks and mortar’ retail stores and not through on-line stores.
CHANGESTWOBOWIE will be reissued on the 13th April with all tracks remastered on CD in a digipak sleeve, high-resolution 192/24 and 96/24 digital and standard digital for streaming and download, as well as a 180gram vinyl edition available randomly on its initial limited run in black and blue vinyl before reverting solely to black vinyl.
Finally, 192/24 and 96/26 high-resolution digital versions of CHANGESONEBOWIE will be released for streaming and download on April 13th too.

Ken Scott didn't master the 2013 Aladdin. Ray Staff is responsible for that mess. so happy to be out of this game

Red Eye says the Australian issues are European pressings and the jewel cased edition sold out yesterday. I’ve asked them to order it for me and if available, it should arrive at the store in 3-5 days.
I can't find a jewel cased edition in Europe.

Thanks for the link. I have (so far) just bought one copy and couldn't resist trying the weighing method. My copy weighs 293 grams (including shrinkwrap) on my relatively new digital scale, and the vinyl colour is - black(!). Could it be they mixed the weight of the blue and the black in the article? Anyone else who tested this?

My blue copy was heavier than the black one, so it isn't foolproof...
296 gm for my blue copy, including shrink. I didn't bother getting the black. Our scales also very new. Perhaps earth's gravitational pull is different in Yorkshire to that of Norway's, or more likely our scales differ in quality! But near enough.
Did anyone buy their copies from 'What Records' online? You could pre-order the colour of your choice and mine came still sealed. They are still offering one of each as a bundle but seemingly not the Blue on it's own any more. So this makes me think the records may well be sent out already separated in to different boxes, meaning shops would already know which is which. It would be in a shops interest to not mention that as then everyone would immediately ask for Blue and the shops could end up with a heap of Black ones not going anywhere. I am just guessing of course. No actual proof.
