'Limited' edition, 40th Anniversary, on white vinyl 12" 'Dancing In The Streets' available from August 29th.
Form an orderly queue, no pushing at the back.
(Possibly the worse record the Bowie name has lent itself to)

Well, not my favourite Bowie song, but preordered it anyway. A similar issue of Absolute Beginners or Underground would be more welcome though.

There's also a new digital EP ! See Qobuz :
Dancing In The Street E.P. (2025 Remaster) David Bowie & Mick Jagger
29/08/2025, Rhino
with the following tracks : - Dancing In The Street (Clearmountain Mix, 2025 Remaster) 00:03:11 - Dancing In The Street (Instrumental, 2025 Remaster) 00:03:21 (first time on digital format, I think...) - Dancing in the Street (Steve Thompson Mix, 2025 Remaster) 00:04:40 - Dancing in the Street (Edit, 2025 Remaster) 00:03:23 - Dancing in the Street (Dub, 2025 Remaster) 00:04:41
What is missing is The Singles 1969-1993 edit (3'16" version)
So, did you all receive a copy through the post today? Some of you?
Call me a fool but I thought "go on, let's slice the shrink wrap and take a look", ( I know, and de-value this latest collectors item immediately!), and whilst cooking our evening meal I listened to all 5 versions on white vinyl. I probably haven't heard the other versions since 1985, but do you know what, I didn't mind the 'Dub' version. Well, they say dub but "Cowbell mix" might be a better name. Listening to it whilst cooking, and it's the weekend... Cowbelltastic!
Anyway, it will be filed away in the 12" single cardboard box when I next get time to fight through all the other boxes in the way. 30% to charity, we can use that as a reason. Right, now, where are all the "Fame 90" remixes?...
