Yeah , I thought this was unusual also. I know the buyer.
Everything has it's price, Some things seem to be cheaper at the moment Others seem to have risen quite considerbly. Don't know if this is a good thing or is it just the climate we are in at the moment.

alan, what's the lowest you've seen this sell for and how many copies do you think were pressed? 150 seems highly questionable, not least because 500 is usually a minimum order for most manufacturers and they seem to show up relatively frequently. by "used" i presume you mean these can be found sealed?

If Bowie received 50 copies as Christmas gifts for friends and Ryko received 100 copies for promotional purposes, then yes, there may be more than 150 copies in circulation. Sealed examples regularly turn up on eBay and at least one dealer has a plentiful supply. Over the past few years, I've seen sealed examples sell for as little as $100 and the average price was $150-250. Having said that, private sellers have higher expectations and frequently set high reserves and/or starting prices based on the $500-$700 dealer price. They rarely sell.
I should also say that this highly desirable collectable does have the potential to attract high prices in the future. As time goes by, the supply will diminish and it will only take a small resurgence in Bowie's popularity to push the price up.

thanks for the info. i bought mine a couple of years ago privately, unsealed for £60 which i thought was a good deal at the time. it's looking more so now.

This is the instrumentals compilation commissioned by Bowie as a Christmas gift for friends. Said to be limited to 50 copies, with a further 100-150 copies for promotional purposes, but there may be more. The Christmas gift copies are signed by Bowie.
Original jewel cases have a "Made In Canada" sticker on the back.
The instrumentals 'Sense Of Doubt', 'Moss Garden' and 'Neuköln' are a single track on disc one.

Thanx for that! I applaud you guys for having the diligence to go to all the effort of supplying all the info and scans.
I bought two sealed copies years ago at different times and it was only after two years that the suspense finally made me open one to check that there was actually discs inside it.

The track list on the back of the album lists "Moss Garden" before "Sense Of Doubt". This is in a different order to how they appeared on 'Heroes' where the three tracks "Sense Of Doubt", "Moss Garden" and "Neukoln" flow seamlessly into each other.
Does the disc really play the pieces in the 'wrong' order? Seems a very odd thing to do. If so, do the tracks simply fade out at the end of each piece or have new links been created?
But then Beckenham says that "SoD" "MG" and "Neukoln" play as one track - implying that they are in the 'correct' order, as on 'Heroes'.

Sorry about that, it's just the order in which the song titles naturally spring to mind. The running order is, as listed on CD, 'Moss Garden', followed by 'Sense Of Doubt', followed by 'Neuköln'.
I wonder why the natural track order was changed? It works so very well in its original order that I can't imagine it sounding right, revised in this way. Do the pieces fade out each time? Cheers, R
Well, that was certainly an interesting exercise. Good spot Richard, the track list on the All Saints artwork is wrong and the running order is 'Sense Of Doubt', 'Moss Garden' and 'Neuköln'. They are a single track on the CD though!
